Reneilwe or as she likes to be called (Rene) is an Associate Designate in the Construction Law and Dispute Resolution team, with a great interest in litigation.

She completed her LLB at the University of Limpopo in 2021 after which she had the opportunity to attend a vacation work programme at NSDV Law in December 2021. During her time as a vacation student, she had rotations within the Environmental, Mining, and Construction Law Departments thereby gaining practical experience of working at a law firm prior to commencing the position of candidate attorney.

Rene’s experience includes:

• Assisting with drafting of summons’, drafting pleadings and instituting proceedings in the High Court.
• Assisting with the filing process to the various Courts.
• Working on the discovery procedures in the High Court.
• Involvement in the institution of arbitration proceedings.
• Assisting in vetting clients’ contract.
• Drafting of letters of demand, working on the execution processes, and working on the general debt collection. 
• Assisting in defending applications in the High Court, such as defending applications for summary judgment.
• Assisting with enforcement applications to make arbitration awards an order of court.
• Assisting in the taxation of bill of costs procedures.

• Working closely with correspondent attorneys in a cross-border matters.
• Generally assisting with complex dispute resolution arising out of construction projects in arbitrations and High Court proceedings.
